VH1's new reality TV show, Basketball Wives, premiered this past week.  The show is headlined by Shaunie O'Neal, Shaquille O'Neal's ex-wife, as well as significant others of various NBA players.  This show is exactly why Coach Baker turned down every opportunity to play in the NBA.  He was actually good enough to go pro (in his own mind) but wanted to avoid being put on blast by oppotunists looking to "tell what had happened" and "what they had seen or heard".  The trailer for the show is below. 

TMZ is reporting that Shaq has sent a letter to VH1 to halt all production of Basketball Wives which makes any reference to him.  This program just goes to show that the modern woman's mantra of "Indepent Woman" is nothing more than a pick-up line . . . despite their so-called "independence", (i) not only will they take half, but (ii) when it's in their favor, they will be more than happy to carry themselves as "So and So's" ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, baby's mama, etc. 

They need to start an "NBA Players put on Blast Club" . . . cause being put on blast is way too hard to go through it alone.
