As many of you know, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is upon us.  Twice a year American fashion designers display their designes to a crowd of journalists, celebrities, socialites, and "fashionistas".  This year the event has been moved from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center which has 30% more space.  Not only do fashionistas get to see the new collections from their favorite designers, but they get to rub elbows with celebrities that they would see on the regular.  That said, Coach Baker has turned down all invitations to Fashion Week this year. 

Can you imagine all those beautiful women dressed in haute coutoure and all lathered up over the various festivities?  The parties . . . tall tales being told, etc.  Apparently, the mere thought of these women asking for his phone number, grabbing on him on him, asking him "What your name is" causes him extreme agita . . . "Yeah I think I am going avoid Fashion Week this year.  Though it is probably one the best time to meet beautiful, smart, accomplished women, on Friday night I will probably hit the gym (in order to keep my weight up) and then head home so I can curl up with a good book.  That way I will be well rested to watch college and pro football on Saturday and Sunday.  Besides, the the last time I went a Fashion Week event this happened . . .
