FORMER JETS STRENGH COACH TRIPS DOLPHINS PLAYER PDF Print E-mail

In one of the most irreprehensible acts you will ever witness in professional football, former Jets strength and conditioning coach, Sal Alosi, trips Nolan Carroll of the Miami Dolphins.  Anyone who has ever played football knows that it's the hit you don't see that is the most devastating.  While covering a punt, Alosi struck Carroll in the thigh with his knee . . . the very last guy Carroll was looking for.  Carroll immediately went down, writhing in pain and could have been seriously injured.  I understand that Alosi has apoogized to Rex Ryan and the Jets' owner.  In this era of fines and suspensions for hitting defenseless players, Alosi should be fired and/or fined, and should never be allowed on an NFL sideline again.
