CHRISTMAS IN APRIL . . . COMPLIMENTS OF FLIGHT CLUB |

DeSean, Sean strike a pose One of the benefits (and job requirements) of being Executive Director of the Shock Exchange is that you get to meet with elected officials, investment managers, professional athletes, and corporate sponsors in efforts to market the club. In April 2009 I had the pleasure of meeting with John McPheters of Flight Club (www.flightclubnyc.com), one of the top sneaker shops in the country. John and I talked basketball, the "shoe game", and ways in which we could collab on projects in the future. It just so happens that both organizations have a lot in common. The Shock Exchange follows the stock market and the economy and Flight Club considers itself the "Wall Street" of the sneaker game, having created a market for individuals to sell their never worn sneakers on consignment. While we continue talks with John and his team on potential partnering arrangements, Flight Club decided to give us a sample of what a partnership may taste like in the form of T-shirts and the Flight Club Mitchell & Ness 45 Jackets - the hottest track jackets on the streets. From the reaction of the kids you would have thought it was Christmas in April . . . compliments of Flight Club.
